Refugee Realities is a project designed to educate the Australian public about the rights of people affected by crisis and conflict, and the experiences of refugees around the world. The project aims to creatively engage and inspire active citizens and communities on issues of refugee rights, conflict and humanitarian relief. The project will also encourage and celebrate strong Australian Government accountability towards protecting and assisting the wellbeing and rights of people in humanitarian crises around the world, including refugees and asylum seekers in Australia.
I worked on this project for a period of 7 months as the creative intern. This included work on the sets, publicity and promotions, animations, games and videos. A very big project but very enjoyable, in the end there were over 200 volunteers which included designers, artists, actors, teachers, aid workers and refugees themselves.

The videos captures the experience visitors had at the 2008 Refugee Realities event in Melbourne. The film charts the refugee journey represented in the simulation, and contains interviews with a diverse range of people who were involved.
